Calling Screen Overview
When using Teams Calling, this is the main interface screen within the client, below we'll point out the main areas of interest and interaction.
Calling Screen Elements
- On the App selection sidebar, the app labled "Calls" is how you access the Teams Calling interface.
- The dial pad area. You can either type in the number (or name of someone in Teams) on the top line, or click on the number keys
- The call button, this will start the call to the typed in number/name, if you are a delegate to another user, and have been given the permission, you will be able to select to call as them from the dropdown here
- Your assigned phone number
- Location Information, this is used for 911 location services. You can manually adjust the address here.
- Forwarding status of calls, you are able to change forwarding settings here
- Audio configuration. Allows you to quickly change between audio devices, also provides direct access to the audio device configuration in the settings.
- Phone selection. If you are a delegate of another user, based on the permissions you have, you will be able to change between using their phone and your own. There will be one tab for each person you are a delegate of. If you are not a delegate of anyone, you will only see "Personal"
- Delegate Team area (expandable/collapsible). All the people who are your delegates will appear here. It provides a quick view of their status and access to call them quickly.
- System Notification area. Any system level notification regarding the Teams Calling interface will show here. Pictured is a notification about confirming 911 location.
- Call history area. Here you will see a list of all your call history. Along the top you can filter what is shown via the tabs. One of the tabs, denoted with "12", is where you can access your voicemail.
- Voicemail tab in the call history area. This is where you can access your voicemail
- Contacts button. This will bring you to your full list of contacts for easy dialing. This syncs with the contacts in Outlook.
- Speed Dials. You can add people or numbers here that you frequently dial.
