Overview
Often it is useful to search within a particular chat with an individual or group to find information you are looking for. Normally the search function searches across the entire teams app. This tends to result in results that may not be particularly helpful or out of context.
The steps below will go over the process of limiting a search to a single chat.

- First, go into the particular chat you would like to search in
- Within the chat, press the "Ctrl" + "F" keys. You will see the search field at the top of teams will adjust to limit the search to that particular chat. Enter what you would like to search for here
- Search results will display in the left pane of the Teams interface, clicking on any of those will bring you to that point in the chat string.
